Message For Veterans

DEAR KOREAN WAR VETS:

Emily

Just in case nobody has ever told you, the sacrifices that you and your buddies made in the Korean War are very much appreciated. On September 19, 1998, Emily Groves, age 6, watched a parade of Korean War veterans march through the streets of Tuscola, the host city for the Korean War Veterans National Museum and Library. The homemade sign that she carried said the two words that you and so many of our nation's veterans seldom hear, but justly deserve. Thank you for your forgotten victory--the halt of communist aggression in South Korea--and your clear message to the world that nobody has the right to take away from someone else the precious gift called Freedom.
